Dubai: an international oasis

The culture in Dubai is totally different from the western world. For many visitors, is it therefore a bit of a culture shock when they arrive here. There are nationalities from all over the world, people walk in traditional clothes, you’ll find mosques from which prayers sound, you’ll smell the sisha’s sweet smell and you’ll see the Arabic language all around you. Welcome to the colourful world of Dubai.

The United Arab Emirates is a democratic country and adheres to Muslim and Sharia laws. The religion is therefore Islam. Off all the UAE, Dubai is by far the most Western place. Mainly this is due to the influence of the many different cultures living here.

However, there are definitely some things you have to keep in mind when visiting Dubai. There are numerous beliefs about living in Dubai: yachts, exotic animals instead of conventional pets, oil in the yard of each house and gold and diamonds in heaps.

Thus, we continue to feed the idea that Dubai is the capital of billionaires. However, the world capital of billionaires is Beijing, not Dubai. The number of immigrants living in this country is very high and the cost of living in the same, so it could be said that the number of people living in subhuman conditions is alarming. Education also has little accessible costs, so very few people can have the opportunity to receive a quality education.

It sounds surprising, but most of us believe that Dubai was a country, however, Dubai is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) whose capital is Abu Dhabi.

It is important to bear in mind that due to rapid population growth, the creation of infrastructure, pollution caused by cars and the absence of an effective recycling system Dubai is not considered an environmentally attractive place.

Despite all this, visiting Dubai will allow you to enjoy the sound of mosques calling for prayer, the conversations, and the hospitality of its inhabitants. Its development and international projection attract entrepreneurs, adventurers and foodies alike who will have much to discover in this impressive international oasis. Remember that you always show respect and understanding to the local culture and that you adhere to local standards and values.
